7. What’s the strangest experience you’ve had while working?
Being suspected for some stupid crime whilst on standby at the Thompson center, 2005. These two cops come out of nowhere, accost me, and won’t tell me what I did wrong, only “YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID PUNK”. This caused a considerable scene, and a large crowd amassed. Thankfully i had an alibi in my fellow standing-by couriers (shouts to hurricane, ‘Dre and whoever else was there). These cops hassled me for close to ten minutes before “miraculously” spotting the *actual* perp they were looking for in the crowd. Afterwards, i found out that *I* Had apparently shouted obscenities at the pigs for detaining some random guy on the side of the road, closer to City Hall.

Friends, fun, and beer,

Chicago Winters SUCK so that’s why i worked two years and forged my way westward.
12. What’s the best thing about the job?
Relative autonomy. Knowing if you are good at your job, someone appreciates it. Networking with great folks. The random 5-second movies-of-life i see down every street. More people should work outside.

http://amesskollectivethang.org/post/210393540/gold-sprints-like-a-rock-concert-at-club-asia
Gold sprints like a rock concert at Club Asia! announcer, dj, unlikely finalists (Yogi from Australia kept chanting “Old is Gold!!”) and hella resistance on the freakin’ bikes!!! trust me, those guys are killing it. I felt like I could barely move my legs! Got second place for the women’s tho…
from yogi:
I found a vid (courtesy of Kym Perfetto ) of me in the Finals of GOLDSPRINTS at CMWC Tokyo…. I look slow next to Brooks but he only just beat me. I came a happy equal 3rd and 4th fastest time. That was my first goldsprints ever.
Brooks spun me out quite a bit as he was on his riollers for 30 minutes before the semi final all the while I was leaning on the wall next to him saying “it is not gonna help you mate” It was obviously freeking him out by the distracted look I was getting from him. He beat me in our final heat.
The European Cycle Messenger Championships are coming to Scotland in 2012. In the year of the 200th birthday of Kirkpatrick MacMillan, the father of the bicycle, Edinburgh has been chosen to host the 17th ECMC, a spectacular urban cycling event which has been gathering force over the last two decades.
Registration will only become more expensive, do you need more incentive to pre-register for CMWC? Day of registration: $110. Register now and save $20. Or grumble on the day of, just don’t blame us. So…
ONE MORE AWESOME REASON:
A Trash Bags wallet, in exclusive color combinations, will be included in every racer packet. Ahem, every PRE-REGISTERED racer packet. More goodies might be added later on (hint: we really want you to pre-register). Pre-register now and ensure that you will be one of the lucky recipients of Andy’s fine handiwork.

working on websites
talk about mind bending when you go to update a site and half of it is one style protocol using table rows and HTML formatting tags and line brakes , the next half using div tags and .css… all in the same block of text.. a ransom note code stylez.
super time waste .. is it faster to copy and paste the webpage into a text editor with only RTF formatting then paste it back?
